I installed the package libdcopc-dev (c-headers for dcop).

It works if you don't, but the system is "cleaner" if you do so. Make sure to
install ALL KDE2.2 related apps from unstable!!! (especially the libs and
doc-debs!!!) But all in all it works really fine, I

The point is that there are no KDE 2.2-debs for Potato!
ahhh.. ok =)
If your box is NOT a server, needing 99% uptime and the latest
security-patches available cause of a high possibility to be attacked, you
can upgrade your whole system to woody and then get the KDE 2.2-bins from
sid.

Hi
I've just joined the list and now will appear as a hopeless newbie, but..

I just recently started subscribing to the debian-kde and debian-user mailing
lists, and I've got filters set up in kmail to transfer mailings from those
lists to specific folders. The folders have got the "folder holds
mailing-list" option checked with the post address field filled out as well.
Hi!
I'm not a reader of this list. Excuse my 'breaking into' the list, but I
haven't find a better place to send this mail to. (I'm not sure whom this
thing concerns - KDE or Debian.)
I run a Linux with a few users and a few different GUIs (KDE, fvwm2,
..). Each user has his/her own taste. That s

And btw, don't
# dpkg --force-all --install kdelibs4...
It botches KDE 2.x.
Thanks,

Hi,
Could any of you summarize his experience with KDE 3.0 Alpha1? How
