Hi,
With the latest upgrade (potato; kde 2.0.1) knode has become rather slow.
It now needs sometimes 30 seconds and more when I try to get new articles
from the newsserver. In this time it is permanently in running state.
Has anybody observed similar problems?
Another small problem: knode has n

Hi,
I have one more favor for all of you who will be trying out the 2.1
KDE packages for potato and that is to submit any wishlist and or bug reports
you find sooner rather than later. Verify that there is no report in
bugs.debian.org or bugs.kde.org and submit it. One of the main reasons I
deb http://kde.tdyc.com potato main crypto beta
contains: kdelibs, kdebase, kdeadmin, kdenetwork, kdegraphics, kdemultimedia
note..I have NOT built the crypto packages for potato yet so ssl stuff
*may* be brokt.

Hi all,
I've updated my potato/woody to KDE 2.1 today. After that I can no
longer login as user...
Login at console works and fvwm95 starts also. If i try to chance the
windowmanager there, following message (translated from german to
english): "Please confirm, that the program "dcopserver" is
Thanks and sorry. I think I've read something similiar in previous posts but
I thought it was unrelated.

I just installed a new installation of potato (2.2r0) with only the base
installation. I then installed the basic xserver stuff needed, got a working
xserver, and then added "deb http://kde.tdyc.com potato main optional crypto"
to my apt sources.list file. I did apt-get update and then apt-get

I just saw the later post about adding a window manager to /etc/alternatives
That fixed it - so forget this thread...

Hi Ivan!
hmmm, dselect just gave me these lines:
task-kde depends on pixie
pixie does not appear to be available
task-kde depends on kformula
kformula does not appear to be available
and
task-kde-devel depends on xlibs-dev or xlibs6g-dev
xlibs-dev does not appear to be available
xlibs6g-dev does no
Hi,
(Ivan is going to shoot me after this question yet again) :)
I upgraded today to the later 2.1beta packages off debian woody.
My KDE again refuses to start, I now don't even get kwin, kdesktop or
anything.
No probs I thought, and remembered Ivan's last advice to alter /urs/bin/kwm
to run
I've installed kde2 for potato from a mirror of the kde.tdyc.com and got at
the start attampts an error message:
error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libkdeui.so.3: undefined symbol:
focusNextPrevChild__14QMultiLineEditb
I saw the message about the absence of kde interprocess communication

direcciones de KDE" a "Agenda de direcciones de KDE", porque me parece más
apropiado.

This round will include:

kdemultimedia
