for people who know very little or nothing about steganography.
It's written in Java 8 and uses SWT as widget toolkit.
Here is the project page: https://dev.stegosuite.org/Stegosuite/Stegosuite
Is there anybody who would like to package it?
Best regards,
Tobias
Hi Markus,
thanks for your reply. I would really like to join the team and maintain the
software in the future!
I had looked at the packaging process but it seemed to me very complicated at
first sight.
That's why I asked here.

Tobias

Hi Markus,
Thanks for your help.
When running mh_make, it couldn't find the dependencies swt, logback and
jcommander. But after ignoring that it created the debian directory.
I guess, I need to write something in maven.rules now?

Tobias

I got errors like "package org.eclipse.swt.graphics does not exist" and so on.

Hi,
the update is still not available in unstable. Is there any issue, which needs
to be resolved first?

The website seems to be outdated. They recommend Windows 98. ;)
I don't think it's trademarked (anymore). I searched in various trademark
databases and could find anything like "Stego Suite".

man page wouldn't make much sense, I guess?

Hi,
I added a man page and filed an ITP bug report.
Do you think it can be uploaded now?

ImageProcessing seems to belong to Science/Education.
I used Graphics;2DGraphics;RasterGraphics; instead.

Alright. I will rewrite that class in order to remove the EPL dependency.
The result will be published in 0.7.3.

incompatibility between EPL and GPL.
It would be great if someone could upload this.

rify these comments with a few words.
Hmm, a comment mentioning that some parts are adapted from stackoverflow?
Are there any other debian packages doing this?
And if it's not copyrightable, then why mentioning it in debian/copyright?
Regards,
Tobias
d a comment which will hopefully signal this.

deal with stegosuite.appdata.xml in stegosuite.install
* add png to mime type in desktop file
* ignore junit instead of testng
* update file location in copyright
* add libcommons-cli-java to dependencies
* update patches
* update manpage
It would be great if someone could upload this.

table branch for now) provides it's java/javac
executables on its own. Are there any notable differences? At least Sun's
java/javac is considerably slower. :-)
If anybody can shed some light on this, I'd be very thankful.

Perhaps a section on debugging java programs within debian would be
useful.
What free java debuggers are available (as alternatives to jdb) on Debian?
( any??? )
What free edit-interactive/graphical debugging tools are available on

I do not find a corresponding debian package, but on maven it exists:

How can I satisfy the dependency in a Debian way? Thanks for helpful
pointers

Pierre,
thank you for your advice, I will dig into it.
