was spinning down (power saving) and the motherboard treated it as an error.
It may just be a bad drive. If that is the case, it will die in the next couple
of days anyway.

But I can comment on mixing new drives with old computers - it almost never
works. There were several updates to hard drive controllers (S.M.A.R.T, DMA,
UDMA, etc.) and the old 2G and under controllers won't handle them. Promise

I do have exim with potato running, so I looked at it and it does mention
'auto-thaw' in the config file. Mostly, it tells you to go look it up in the

I've installed a few boards with SATA. If you have turned on RAID, turn it
off. RAID changes the driver from IDE to SCSI -- and it requires a special
driver. That driver will not be part of the Linux set.

get an 'account not found' type of error. It is as if they could not find the
user on the email server.
Lastly, the tech that set this up on the ISP's side is gone until
Tuesday.
Is there any obvious problem that I can fix by changing exim?

I found no directory under /var/cache/exim.
I do have exim with potato running, so I looked at it and it does mention 'auto-thaw'
in the config file. Mostly, it tells you to go look it up in the documentation, which
I already did.
