syslogd reference

Hi: I'm looking for a reference on setting up remote syslog operations. I wont to send syslog info from a Cisco 7206 to a linux logger. I sort of get ohw to use the -r and hosts list to make the daemon listen, but hwo to set up the other end is my problem any references for system to system or rout

We use sendmail all the time to send messages from CGI applications. We would now like to be able to send binary file attachments. I realize that we will have to encode the files before we can attach them, two questions, first how do I get sendmail to actually 'attach' the encoded file to the mes

I probably should have worded it better. I would like to send an email it had been using an ANCI C program. I frequently use sendmail from within these programs. I just need to know how to attach a binary file to a message if necessary, wrong within the software that we write. Scott Thompson Prog

You should probably join inet-access mailing list as well. There is always good ISP (non-debian-specific) info there. http://www.portia.com/matt/ISP/inet-access.html You might want to look into a package called freeside. Opensource perl based billing. Sounds to be exactly what you want... http
