Hello "Craig" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
I recommend courier-pop with Postfix or qmail, which give fine
performance and high flexibility.

to use on my mail server. Something that can take
a hammering and not ipopd, been having some
problems with it and qpopper I think has security

Sorry, It was all my mistake. I had an "only_from = net-address" line in the

Title: Good pop3 server
Hi all,
I am looking for a good pop3 server in the woody(testing) distribution. I was going to install qpopper v4, but it runs from inetd daemon, what I think is a bad idea from the performance point of view..
Any ideas??
Thanks

qmail with pop3d and friends seems to be pretty solid in my short experience
with them. I've not got hundreds of users, but it's said
I'ld recommend Cucipop due to it's security record. That's what I use.
Just don't look at the source code. :)

I'm sure there is a percentage of people that use SQL, but it's probably
very small.
I think more people are concerned with performance and reliability. I
could be wrong tho.
