Using an IPSec VPN is probably the "best" way to do it.
FreeS/WAN (http://www.freeswan.org) is a Linux implementation
of IPSec, but it's not the easiest thing in the world to
configure.

Using an IPSec VPN is probably the "best" way to do it.
