I find one (1) hit: 'updated'. It is in the FAQ "AArgh..." and has nothing
to do with 3.0r1.

To clarify, the installer says
"Failure trying to run: chroot /target dpkg --force-depends --install
/var/cache/apt/archives/base-files_3.0.2_powerpc.deb
/var/cache/apt/archives/base-passwd_3.4.1_powerpc.deb",
and on that other console it shows
"dpkg: unable to lock dpkg status data
If F_SETLK doesn't work on the /target filesystem,
dpkg refuses to operate ("unable to lock dpkg status database").
That's bad because F_SETLK doesn't always work on NFS.
(I can't get it to work in my current booting situation, and I don't
have enough control over the nfs server to fumble.
