unfortunately it is not possible to simply drop the gconf schemas at some
default location where gconf2 could find them, if installed afterwards.
Every schema needs to be registered with gconf2 explicitely.

I ran into the above-mentioned bug as well. I realise it is now fixed
by adding a dependency to gconf2. However, with this, you are forcing
people to install 7.2 MB of stuff, with, as far as I could judge, the
only purpose being that a configuration script runs properly. T
