Apparently the icons are supposed to be in xpm format:
https://udd.debian.org/lintian/?packages=stimfit
Should I prepare a new package to address this? If so I probably need to bump
the version number yet again because it will affect the source distribution?

further issues here: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/stimfit
I don't see any major issues anymore, so this shou

Hi!
It looks like in order to get stimfit back into the next Debian
release, it will unfortunately also need to be ported from sip4 to
sip6, as sip4 does not work with Python 3.12+ anymore...
See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1059648 which is
currently holding up the migration

One more thing that I just noticed: The desktop-entry file in the
package isn't installed into /usr/share/applications, which means the
software doesn't show up in menus. Can you please fix that?
If it's an extra maintenance burden, you might also just want to drop
the menu entry files and shi

I vaguely remember using debian mentors many years ago, is this still active?

Hi Christoph!
Thank you so much, that's amazing - looks like it was quite a bit of work!
Do you want to upload the package (do you need sponsorship for that?).
I can also test it, if needed.
Best,
Matthias

Dear Yaroslav,
yes, everything for 0.16.4-1 avaiable in [1] at
commit 416e655f02085118ffc7dbf2da85c52415b42f57 (tag: v0.16.4debian,
origin/master, origin/HEAD)
Currently, I can not push the attached patch for 0.16.4-1-1 into [1],
therefore I attached the patch.

Hi Alois
Sorry for radio silence. Now I have my attention on this, let's get
stimfit updated.
On 5 Apr 2024 you also shared new orig and .deb for 0.16.4-1 but forgot
to share sources (.dsc or at least .debian.tar.gz) -- could you do that?
Or may be you already have it all in git, e.g. in a debia
Dear Debian maintainers,
Upgrading to the latest release of stimfit v0.16.4 fixes this issue.
The resulting debian packages are available from here:
https://pub.ista.ac.at/~schloegl/src/stimfit/0.16.4-1.1/
The debian packages can be rebuild with this command (tested on
Debian12/bookworm)
