Hi,
I'm very sorry, yes, I'm using ICQ. I wasn't thinking about other
protocols, well it seems like I wasn't thinking at all.
Thank you very much to struggle with such an unqualified report...
Here's the debug output. I've x'ed my account number out. Ah, and

Hi,
the version in stable cannot login anymore, whereas the version in

changed version to stable? Or os the pidgin version stable simply broken?

Hi,
after losing half of a sunny saturday getting my system and files back,
I threw the raid system in a garbage can and everything works with the
newest testing migration. I accidently installed this today and got
virtually no help from the irc channel and nothing worked, it kept
getting worse. N
Hi,
after our talk in the IRC channel, I downgraded to the 20100710 version

Hi,
sorry if I reported this with a too high priority.
Anyways, I've just installed version 1.98+20100804-3 from unstable but
it still does not work.
Any quick advice here? I'm really afraid to reboot but can't keep this
machine on much longer.
Thanks & best
Benjamin

Hi,
I'm sorry, but this doesn't do the trick either. It's still crashing.
I replaced what you said with
"./configure --prefix=/usr"
There's another configure line:
"configure: ./autogen.sh" - I left this one as it was.

Hi,
Adam: unfortunately it still crashes with the same errors after the
build and install of the .deb file.
Mark: I fixed this through compiling the newest svn-tarball (r-1032)
from source. But the debian package is still unusable for me.
I thought that if it's related to my system only, then the
Hi,
thanks for your feedback.
Sorry for not reporting this - I'm using Debian testing and the Debian
multimedia (deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ testing main) packages
- maybe it's related to these libraries...
I just compiled Aqualung R-1032 from source and it works fine for me.
