The format string passed to alloc_rootdir_entry results in sprintf
overflowing de->name, writing the trailing null byte to de->ext
(check.c:177). This might have been the author's intention, but
_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 does not allow such behaviour, terminating the

to filter out some lines from the change messages it doesn't use stdin
but spawns the git log command itself.
The problem is that the test it uses
of the necessary files can be empty or generated from other data, so I
was able to do some basic testing, and I created a patch (attached) that
should fix the import part of this bug.

no longer supports logging to log.%m, so we should provide a new default
logfile in smb.conf.
