Wokaround to restart is to delete
~/.openoffice/1.1.3/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Common.xcu
as it will be created when starting OOo. After restart Anti-aliasing
remains switched on.

OOo crashes when Anti-aliasing is switched off.
The first time this happend was after a security update recently (think
it was May/June 2006). IIRC ttf-opensymbol was updated, so maybe the bug
is within ttf-opensymbol.

Perfect! Downgraded libfreetype to 2.1.7-2.4 (from 2.1.7.-2.5) and OOo
doesn't crash.

Tested after a gedcom-file import and by creating a brandnew database

I had the same troubles after upgrade to bullseye (scanning and
printing) using an HP officejet 4630.
After sveral purge and reinstall of hplip I finally moved to
sane-airscan and the bug is still unsolved. i
hplip is not installed anymore, so maybe it is not hplip relat
