i use oidentd for a bunch of bouncer users on my shells, so i want to
adopt it. Apparently there will be no newer versions as the last one
was from 2006 but the daemon is in a good shape, hence i want to take
it.

This seems to be a problem related to patch "opt-46_dvdarchive.dpatch" in
package vdr (version 1.4.7).

I setup vesafb through grub to use the vesafb with vga=771 (800x600
8bit) which works perfect.

I could work that problem out. If i set the same bit value in grub, in
my case 24bit the problem is gone and i can switch from console to X
without problems.

i just figured out, that the kernel images like
(xen-linux-system-2.6.18-4-xen-686) are compiled with highmem (PAE)
support.
If there is a need for using XEN without PAE, the only way is to build
a kernel-image manu
