Package: gnucash
Version: 2.0.2-3
Severity: minor
Running under KDE I hit the "Show Desktop" icon just to the right of
the "K" start button. This minimizes all apps that are open on the
screen.
Then I started gnucash (from the file menu).
All the previously minimized applications are restored.
Package: wvdial
Version: 1.56-1.2
Severity: minor
A recent upgrade of wvdial asked me for my password again, even though
it was already configured. Oddly, it did not ask for account name or
phone number, and at the end of the setup it gave a message indicating
it was skipping stuff because it was

The bottom of the flac man page says

I have no such directory and see no flac-doc package.
libflac-doc has no file
Package: r-omegahat-ggobi
Version: 2.1.4-3-1
Severity: minor
xrestop showed rggobi was the biggest consumer of resources on my
system. Since I didn't even have any ggobi windows open (and hadn't
for days), this was quite a surprise:
$ xrestop -b -m 1 | grep -A 17 ggobi
0 - rggobi ( PID:30311 ):

close(g)

rm(g)

g2<-ggobi(data)

play around with it

Do these messages indicate that some part of the installation of
tex-common failed? My concern is not with the ultimate cause of the
bug, which apparently is in ucf, but of its consequences for tex.
If everything is not OK, is there anything I can do to clean things up?
Thanks.

And I had to wonder whether I should be looking in tex-common,
tetex-base, or elsewhere for clues.

3) It would be nice if /etc/papersize controlled what happens when there
is no explicit papersize setting. This has a neat solution (if #2 is
working, it's just a matter of setting the default when the .tex file

This seems to me to be the root of the problem. la/tex knows the paper
size, but that information gets lost, and so it has to be put back in
or placed in some \special.
