Is there a circular dependency now?
mplayer-gui depends on mplayer-skin = mplayer-skin-blue which depends on
mplayer-gui.
Since the user should only install skins ma
has a built-in skin
that allows simple control and installing a skin is (just, but strongly)
advised.
Or is there another way to ensure the mutual dependency?

Sure. I dislike the concept of mdoc.local for more than one reason,
but probably it is good enough for this purposes if there is no
better way in Debian. If mdoc.local gets automatically updated
during system updates, the proposed string also seems fine. If it
is considered a user config file and does *not* get updated
automatically, then something like just "Debian GNU/Linux" might
be even better.

Dear Maintainer,
I installed the package *scanbd* on the current Raspbian buster on a
Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB).
The behaviour is identical regardless of version '1.5.1-5' or '1.5.1-4'.
The latter version works fine with a Raspberry Pi 2B and Raspbi

I can confirm that the patch in
https://github.com/zealdocs/zeal/pull/1644 fixes the build and the
resulting packages works as far as I can tell. Attached is the patch
from the pull request as patch file for debian/patches.

That would be nice. Some of the packages have already been released some time
