FTR, figured some stuff out and opened a WIP merge that includes most of
the GNOME stack:

I'm still a few GNOME-stack packages away from meeting the needs
oto2 for debian itself.
For reference, here's the report on libgphoto2:

Sorry for the radio silence, I was away for a few days.
Just for reference, I run into the crash after updating my unstable
system on 2019-09-30, and it seems libusbmuxd was updated:
libusbmuxd4:amd64 (1.1.0~git20181007.07a493a-1, 1.1.0~git20190924.b097ea3-2)
I had no idea libusbmuxd behaved like
Package: usbmuxd
Version: 1.1.1~git20181007.f838cf6-1+b1

It seems that usbmuxd is freezing my whole system when I plug a locked
iPhone 6.
I'm attaching a log of journalctl -f and usbmuxd -f, both with the
iPhone locked and then unlocked.
I wasn't able to find any similar bug
Forgot to add that when logging in into my GNOME session, if my iPhone
is connected, I experience a long freeze too. I thought it was mtp or
gvfs-gphoto2, but it's probably usbmuxd there too.
Hope you can give me some ideas to fix this, thanks!

On sid, you can't use gnome-boxes to install Debian 10 because the
osinfo-db ISO url still points to the 10.0 release. Because those ISOs
don't exist anymore, the installation fails.
Upstream master already has the updated url.

I recently installed Buster and ran into this issue. The prompt for my

debian-installer was very very painful to use too.
I tried Sam's console-setup hook that relies on udev but I was unable to
get the font set. However, the
FWIW, I almost completely gave up before I ran into the NM bugzilla
describing how some drivers break with rand-mac.
I even went and bought a USB dongle to try and get Debian (or
anything) running on wifi, but that didn't work either because the
driver suffers the same problem than wl.

For reference, this was renamed in 6.13:
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/02f220b5267042d0de649614eec84ded8aeecb4f#diff-d84f49d997686224ccc1733c2e1611820f49247fcfdf2ee3d8353d0ecf0f05d8
And seems we can get away with a simple rename:
https://salsa.debian.org/search?search=lib80211_&nav_so
we can get out of these cards? Haha.
Cheers!
