actually the one criteria I had for an apt-proxy replacement that approx
failed, but overall I liked it so much I used approx anyway. It seems a
lot faster and is certainly much more stable than apt-proxy.

if you give an option in /etc/default/slapd (like SLAPD_OPTIONS="-d 16383") the
start-stop-daemon do not release the console (do not go to the
background), the slapd is up but without considering the given options.

Well, the 2.6.22 may be no more, but at this time the 2.6.24 is no good
for many people (no bnx2 driver) so it would have been nice to keep the
linux-kbuild-2.6.22, moreover since all other 2.6.22 package are still
available
on the repository
