Actually, it breaks stuff.
Example: installing snmpd fails with the following message:
dpkg: error processing snmpd (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 128
Errors were encountered while processing:
snmpd
And the debug log, when I activat
Package: unscd
Severity: normal
I agree with the OP. The message looks like an error message. It made me search
all over my system for problems.
unscd should not print these error like status messages during normal
operation. It is very confusing to the user. A good solution would be to only
