Encountered the same issue.
Try to replace 'allow-ovs' by 'auto' at the main ovs bridge level.

I experienced the same issue on many routers with openvswitch-switch
internal interfaces (aka SVIs).
Commenting out the status test in
'/usr/share/openvswitch/scripts/ifupdown.sh' solves the problem.

The actual package is unusable with kernel above 2.6.25.x.
As Lenny should be released with the 2.6.26 kernel, a libsmbios-2.0.3 package
