Bug #504761 seems to be the same thing. I have an eee 1000H too and the
same problems with 2.6.26-8/9 but not with 2.6.26-7

seems, this works as designed: I tried to compose a message with more
than two lines and the composing field grows. That works for me.
Maybe this bug is a wishlist bug only?

I did the patches in zaptel-source /usr/src/modules/zaptel, not zaptel,
sorry.
As you can see in the last post I am using a standard Debian
2.6.18-2-486, so there should not be any preemtable kernel stuff in it.
FPU is used.
I can check if it works because a call to outbound comes back from

after a reboot of my machine I have the old condition: Dialin works,
Dialout not. Playing around with the zapata.conf parameter signaling to
bri_cpe and back to bri_cpe_ptmp caused it working once but I could not
reproduce it after a new reboot.

Just some report about my weekend experiments: I tried
signalling = bri_cpe
instead of the parameter
signalling = bri_cpe_ptmp
which would be normal for a single ISDN card. And - it worked - not as

crunching sound at dial startup.

span 1 and dial? Then I got the same as before:

With the new update of firefox to 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.6-3 the html validator
plugin ist dead again.
It worked with the version before (1.5.0.6-2?) - so the old bug
propagated somehow?

I can reproduce the problem with
* xine
* totem-xine
* vlc
and vice versa (starting xine fine, then vlc solarizes...)
