proc/sys/kernel/ngroups_max. I'd be happy to
talk about it on #ltp on freenode - I fixed this for pid_max in ltp in a
few places over the end of last week and the weekend.
The kernel headers do not necessarily match the running kernel. Please

FWIW, we did this in Ubuntu for Dapper and it works very well. I have a

dh_python is broken when using the -V argument. The version number
isn't bumped from the system version to the specified version, which
causes the wrong site-package directories to be scanned.
This one line patch fixes it for my testcase.

I can see this code being included for completeness so that an entry isn't lost, but I don't think this is what's causing your breakage.
