I just stumbled across the very same problem. It is a pretty annoying bug and
at the same it looks pretty simple to fix.

gdal-bin as a dependency.
Install gdal-bin and you should have no more problems.

Just a note: gnupg2 provides gpgsm.
Currently, gnupg (OpenPGP) and gnupg2 (S/MIME)
are complementary - so we need both to get
the full flavor out of gpgme.
The package even reached testing.
