is bitstreamVera. I sent a bug to
tasksel asking for that font to be installed by default (Bug#430361), and the
mantainer answered that

Well, the swirl is debian's logo, and seemed strange
to me to have it rotate, so I made a more rounded and
spirally swirl. Other people I asked seemed to prefer
it as well. I didn't think of it, but if the issue is
one of licensing, then let it be stated that they are
released under the GPL.
