The GNOME Applications -> Other menu continues to list menu entries
for the xlock screensaver commands after the package has been removed.
For example the menu item "Bouboule" exists for command
"/usr/bin/xlock -remote -nice 19 -nolock -mode boubou

I am seeing the invalid map handle error as well with fglrx-driver
1:9-6-4 and kernel 2.6.30-1-686. When gdm opens I get a system beep.
2D appears to work normally but if I run fglrxinfo I get another system
beep and a complete freeze with no output. This is using an "ATI
Mobility Radeon HD 2400
As a workaround for users the following command can be used to install
fglrx-glx with libgl1-mesa-glx:
# dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/fglrx-glx_1%
3a9-6-4_amd64.deb
Package fglrx-glx also conflicts with package libgl1-mesa-swx11
on /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.
Thanks for posting this Sladan. After upgrading from grub to grub-pc
the Microsoft Windows Vista items were lost from the menu. I was
unaware of the os-prober package and installing it did get the menu
items back.

I found a number of issues while attempting to get fglrx packages for
Catalyst 9.6 going on Debian/unstable amd64. As a work-around I made
some modifications to the installer distributed by AMD
(http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.36&lang=
I see that the patch for this bug has moved forward for the amd64
architecture but not for the others, including i386. I am looking at
http://packages.debian.org/sid/libaio1. It seems that the bug applies
to all architectures.

Downgrading libdrm2 is a useful work-around for the Catalyst 9.3 driver.

violations related to system_dbusd_t. The standard work-around to
create a local policy file and add allow statements for all of the

with grep. The error is recorded in /var/log/audit/audit.log and I
didn't run grep -r so I initially missed it. The error is:
