May I chime in? I'm currently installing a squeeze system, didn't bother using

expecting to get a choice when selecting "desktop environment" in tasksel, and

I agree, both are fine. The first is, I think, an abbreviated form of the

Hi,
Since then I've had one similar lock-up with the nvidia driver (but no useful

I have had the same problem, I think ever since I switched to the KDE 4 series.

Hi,

Sure, then I'll wait until a debian package is available. I'm on holiday
from this week end so it'll probably be at least a couple of weeks before I
get to that (since I don't see a 3.1 RC package available yet).
Cheers

Unfortunately I've still experienced this bug twice with the 3.0.0-1-amd64
kernel, so the problem's still there.
I presume it's a resume bug that needs to be filed against the e1000e module
upstream?
I haven't had this problem since the post above so I presume it was fixed.
So far I haven't had a problem with 3.0.0-1-amd64 kernel, though I haven't
done nearly enough testing to be sure it doesn't occur.

I'd give a rough estimate the malfunctioning-eth0 bug happens around half
the time on resume from standby. Installing 3.0 kernel now for testing
purposes.
Agreed. In my opinion the default output should only include a summary, with
-v/-q options to list individual files/only report errors.
Anyone looking into this? Would a patch be useful?

Fair enough. I did actually already mention this on the nvnews forums
briefly and without response.
s/class/power_supply/AC/online changes
immediately in response to disconnecting/connecting the power supply, as
well as the tp_smapi interface.
