I'm facing the same problem on Debian 10 Buster with lyx 2.3.2 and
french accented characters :
- if the file path contains french accented characters, export to PDF

Just two more informations about that bug :
- the same problem happens with caja-nextcloud and nemo-nextcloud (but
not in dolphin-nextcloud that works perfectly)
- the problem also happens if there are accented characters in the file
path, even if the filename itself does'nt contains accented

* What led up to the situation?
Each time I change mate theme in mate appearance window, the drive icons get
smaller and smaller, even to a point they can hardly be seen. Same problem also
happens when getting back from a "suspend to ram
I faced a similar problem on Stretch with libreoffice-calc 5.2.7-1 :
selecting a column with fifty lines filled, then copying in order to
paste it in another calc window, made calc eat all memory and then swap,
making the OS unusable.
Problem was solved with :
ln -s /usr/lib64/sane /usr/lib
Just in case, one more information :
I performed a test with a wireless scanner (Brother MFC-J6720DW).
It was properly detected with "scanimage -L".
So the problem seems to be specific to USB connected scanner.
Hello Jörg,
reporting against libsane, I realized a similar report already existed
(#856811). So I replied to it instead of filing a separate report.

It turned out that /usr/bin/scp-dbus-service was also ignored, so the service

I've added it to the debian/install file, now the applet seems to work as

The debdiff is in the attachment.
I'm also facing this bug with XFCE Desktop.
Not a major one, but still annoying when one wants to easily track
printing jobs status.
