The *.deb files I distribute for Macaulay2 are binary only, so it's
not a surprise that dpkg-buildpackage won't compile them afresh. The
Macaulay2 web site has instructions for compiling from sources if you
want to do that. Also, bugs.debian.org is probably not a good place

Maybe that's the cause of this problem?: there is no abiword-gnome in
Debian Lenny (testing), just abiword.

If there's a difference, I assume that if you liked any xen
options enabled, you would install the xen kernel image.
Are those xen options in standard kernel required for compiling
any other - new - feature?

After further investigation, it seems this problem has to do with source
package libbonobo.
In fact, I believe this is the same or similar bug as in:

y, the problem comes with the bonobo-activation-server
daemon.
If I terminate that process (from my root console), switch to gdm and
log in with my user again, the drive mount applet behaves properly (as

First of all, sorry for sending the bug to the wrong location (it was
reportbug's fault, it should be more intelligent than me :-) )
As of today, both gnome meta-packages are back to testing repositories,
so the main problem is gone.
Regarding gnome-cups-manager, I have completely removed
does not appear in Aptitude's tasks.
I guess this will break new Lenny installation tried from the above date (at
least for users who want to install gnome).
I think special effort should be applied to solve this situation as soon as
possible.
