I have a similar problem: a wireless card can be used by two drivers
bcm43xx (eth1) and bcm43xx-d80211 (wlan0), see
http://bcm43xx.berlios.de/ .
Add DRIVER=="bcm43xx" for the first one solve my problem.

mplayerplug-in*.xpt are installed in /usr/lib/mozilla(-firefox)/plugins,
not in /usr/lib/mozilla(-firefox)/components.
