While attempting to setup encrypted thumb drive saw the following weirdness:

I have a very similar setup and the same problem. Interestingly
enough, the problem goes away if I configure Monitor1 as
"RightOf" instead as "LeftOf". Then the sddm greeter is on the
primary screen, and the other one stays black.

Yes. It was in the ascii-range, which made me more optimistic.
(I'm too used to using AAA..AAA as input and seeing 0x41. 0x55 looks
close enough to be plausible.)
