hi oliver,
could you take a look at #440634 and #499031 to determine if this is
the issue you are having? otherwise we need example code and ideally
a link to an upstream bug report (and *ideally* also a patch...)

In looking over outstanding RC bugs in lenny, I noticed #495211 which is

Some bugs are closed in revision 25712
by Gregor Herrmann (gregoa)
Commit message:
Check for an existing ./debian directory earlier, there's no use in
collecting all the information if we `die' anyway; thanks to Mark Lawrence
for the bug report (closes: #500685).

cups is not paying attention to the duplex lines inside a DSC standard
postscript file like those produced by Macs and Windows PCs. Instead cups
resets the duplex to whatever is the default for the print queue. This used
to work in etch.

I should add:
For once the patch is not in the cvs tree. Sourceforge's cvs is down
today for scheduled upgrade.

This bug is still here. It's not really "minor" either, in the sense that it
prevents most people from installing extensions...
This should be an easy fix I would imagine. The correct URL is simply

The patch from 499662 is not a complete fix for the directfb support
within the cross-build. The package still fails to cross-build if the
udeb is enabled because of unresolved symbols related to directfb.

I really see no reason in the provided rationale to make that bug
release critical.
IMHO, it deserves an "important" severity", but based on what's
bringed by the bug submitter I don't see this as enough to prevent the
package to be in lenny.
