Konqueror does not recognize Canon Digital Ixus 55 as a camera even
though it did at some version. Gtkam recognizes this device and permissions for
udev are OK. Here is the device ID for this model:

I think the problem is the notification plugin. Ive disabled it
(enabled guifications instead) and no crashes anymore.
Please, check if that solves the crashes to you too.

Lowered severity, this does not meet grave bug criteria, IMHO. The package
works fine with supported devices and did not cause you any harm.

I've just come across this too. It is a regression between
2.6.18-1-686 and 2.6.18-3-686 in unstable.
With 2.6.18-3-686 I get errors on loading raw1394 (and hence further
errors when loading video1394). Running gscanbus or attempting to
access /dev/video1394 causes a full kernel panic. T
