Yep, I saw this too... finally discovered that it was because I still had
wmxmms running.
This sort of method *should* reproduce the problem:
1) install 1.2.10-2
2) install wmxmms
3) run xmms, and wmxmms.
4) quit xmms (leave wmxmms running)
5) upgrade to 1.2.10+cvs20050209-2
6) run xmms - should

I edited just ahead of the if/then section. There was a line

The first paragraph of the package description is, in my opinion,
uneccesary. Instead, change the first sentence of the second paragraph

Hi,
I really don't have any help to offer, I just want to say I'm bitten by
the same problem. I also seem to have a similar setup as the submitter,
with nss-ldap and ldaps://. Don't know if that has anything to do with
it, though.
Funny thing: I used three days banging my head at the wall because

I read an earlier bug report, #303998, regarding a segfault on startup.
I have a similar problem with the new xmms. I do not have repeat or
shuffle enabled and I cannot get mp3's to play off an nfs mount. I've

Hi!
I have not used qiv for a while now any more, and I'm not really
