know. I could always plug in an IDE disc, install
Debian Sarge, compile a custom 2.6 kernel and copy all data to the S-ATA
discs. But I would like to do this the "normal" way.

One of the advices I received was to disable ACPI (in either the BIOS or
during boot in the OS) prior to installation. I haven't had the time to
try this (yet).
If anyone has some ideas, please share them :).
