Hi,

ReiserFS has been now deprecated in linux upstream and is scheduled to

Hi,
we plan to totally remove GRUB Legacy from Debian.
But grub-installer still has references to the old grub package.
Especially if multipath is used.
grub2 has long time ago gained support for the multipath devices.
See #442382 [1]

Or did you actually create the RAID over /dev/sd[ab] instead of
partitions?
In that case there might be a bug that GPT isn't detected, because then
there's actually no point at all in having a partition table inside the
MBR
So it would be good if you could try with current daily:

It shouldn't choose GRUB Legacy if you use GPT on all disks belonging

Oh and by the way /boot over LVM over RAID should work now

The ia64 images are only for Intel Itaniums.
They're not for the Core 2 Duo etc. processors which also have 64bit

For them you have to use the amd64.
IIRC Frans added now a warning somewhere in the manual/docs for that but
that might be just for the dailies.

Any chance that the Ubuntu patch gets included in Debian's os-prober?
On Launchpad there aren't any reports open related to this.

ly images are created from unstable which has the
2.6.30 kernel but squeeze AKA testing has still 2.6.26
So you would need to get a businesscard image where you can choose the
suite to install and then choose unstable instead of testing if you want
to have an installed system with 2.6.30 kernel.

We finally want to get rid of grub-legacy in Debian.
It's now (in sid) only a transistional package depending on grub-pc.
There's MR!20 [0] by Pascal Homburg which completely removes the
grub-legacy parts of it.
