Justification: renders package unusable
I tried the beta 3 CD on my alpha, it doesn't boot.
Here is what happens from the SRM console, the command I used was
"boot dqb"

block 0 of dqb1.1.1.208.0 is a v
hatever is you want with it.
I'll have a chat to you on irc about the non-use of BSD disklabels.
I could only get to the partitioning part, but it is not really d-i's
fault.

Could be. That's what it looks like, that the trigger for doing stuff
on the serial port is not happening.
Remember, this was on a Sun Netra T1. They have serial ports but the
serial ports are also LOMs so I don't know if that changes them in any
way.

Not on serial line.
Changing the device to /dev/ttyS0 says serial console on line 0
I ran the same program on my alpha which also has a serial line and both
/dev/console and /dev/ttyS0 say yes there is a serial cosnole there.
So why is a ttya on a Netra T1 not a serial

It might be that it is a kernel problem.
