This confirms what I was writing to Timo, then. The proposed change

I have just installed DEBIAN 6. The installer recognized that WINDOWS 7 is
present on my system. But after a reboot of my system their is no WINDOWS in
the GRUB list.
Is their any way to solve this

Disks are called /dev/sdX nowadays so colo-installer puts a "mount
sda" statement into the CoLo config. Unfortunately, this won't work
since CoLo only knows about "hda".

No, but since I was able to insert the media into both machines (after they
were booted), and the discs allowed me to start the install process, so I
though that would have indicated that the discs were OK.
I will try re-burning on another drive and try the "live" process again.

I've just merged near-complete IPv6 support into netcfg master. I've tested
it as hard as I can, and nobody else seems interested enough to test it off
my branch, so let's put it into the wild and see what breaks.
