This is known, yes. Indeed the renaming was done much too late to allow for a proper handling of translations and it was finally decided to leave to the supposedly minor inconsistency. After all, squeeze-updates serves the same purpose than volatile and we don't necessarily have to align the way we describe the suite with its name. It is planned to adapt the said template in a given point release...but it turns out to be quite difficult to find a good way to describe "squeeze-updates" in a non ambiguous way. This hasn't been achieved by now, not to mention the needed update to 64 translations.
