Tried a netboot-2.6 sparc64 image of 12th Sept 2004 on
Sun Ultra1 sbus UltraSparc 167Mhz 128Mb RAM SCSI IBM 2
GB HDD
and this what happened:
System booted fine and it hung up while running
debian-installer.
It seems to be a bogl error
The following is from the installed system, so the "mesh" driver is
installed on this system, unlike the installing system before I
manually did "modprobe mesh". I don't know if this changes
anything.

After enough testing, I confirm that:
-this patch does not seem to break anything in countrychooser
-it speeds up the build of the short list a *lot*. Enough for not
needing a progress bar anymore..:-). This, even on my slow VmWare
