Using cfdisk to remove the adjacent partitions hda5 and hda7 and create a
new partition, all the partition names were reordered. This is ok I guess,
except that it insisted on having 2 hda6'es!
I tried exiting cfdisk and entering again, but
I'm having trouble getting lilo to boot the system
I have, there seems to be a gap in the doc's.
My system looks as follows.
1 20 gig disk
50% Disk C: (first partition)
Windows2000(NT5)/Windows98 (this boots using the NT loader)
50% Partition 2: Linux Prime, Linux Swap,
Linux Prime

scratch, using a local mirror and a boot floppy, a la Kickstart:

Hmmm. Try booting with 'debug' turned on and look at the logs.
You can also try going to tty2 and trying the modprobe commands
manually there on

Tried on the ver 2.2, 1.44 diskette set, and encountered the following
errors:
1) a use of the root.bin disk reports "modules not find in the /lib" errors
could installed isp16 & netwrk3, but not lp
2) an installation, kind of, halt when tried to initialize swap drives.
I will try to test more
