Yeah, that's a known missing feature in partman-crypto. It is
not possible to remove encrypted volumes right know.
Tracked in Debian bug #381892.
ake out for going with UUID= rather than /dev/disk/by-uuid/.
Those systems rely on mount using blkid to find the matching
partition and mount only does it itself when the UUID=
notation is used in fstab.

One way to do this could be to change the device path to
/dev/disk/by-id/.. in partman-base/init.d/parted if the device
is a multipath device.
This would save us from having to map the device name from
/dev/mapper/... to /dev/disk/by-id/.. later on.

This situation is further complicated by missing strutl.h in
libdebconfclient0-dev 0.129, which currently prevents plugins
from building against that version.

That's about as far as I got before I sort of gave up
and added the brute-force approach above.
Any ideas for a better approach? I'm happy to invest
some time getting it to work, but right know I can't
think of a

The attached patch makes it work for me and fixes both word
and flow control handling. I've checked the results against
Alex' test script [1], and the results look good to me.

IOW, if directives are a good fit for this use, I see no
reason to not go ahead with the proposal you outlined.

This sounds a lot like the crypto-raid interop
problem documented here:

The wiki page lists some known workarounds.

No problems spotted from pure code review. I'm doing
tests now with these and yesterdays changes.

OK. I will monitor the list and commits for anything to do.
I'll have limited time until friday, but feel free to send
anything to me directly as well, if you like.

Thanks for the review Frans. I've gone ahead now and
commited the patch as reviewed with one typo fixed.
