Can debootstrap do second stage for a foreign architecture?
For example, it is perfectly possible to make first stage of debootstrap
process for arm on x86.
However, I'm having problems in ru
n and binfmt_misc
infrastructure in kernel and some additional hacking here and there;
works fine with kernels 2.6.18, 2.6.22, but fails with 2.6.26).
Is it possible to do a second stage of debootstrap for a foreign
architecture?

Technically, you have the point, but then we should ask: why shouldn't
there be help (or more detailed help where it exists) to each and every
installer element...?

Do you have any more details on that?
I.e., where the grub was installed, was there a separate /boot
partition, did he use LVM, did he only use one disk during the
installation etc.?

I remember I used d-i to install Debian (arm) on Thecus n4100 - using
minicom and a serial connection. Navigation in d-i over a serial connection

ssue which
should IMO be fixed there. The installation guide does not pretend to
document everything that can happen during a chroot install; it just
documents the general procedure.
So it's a grub issue, not d-i?
Was it reported upstream then?

I just wanted to confirm that it indeed works for me.
Perhaps not very relevant, as by now everyone should have upgraded to
Etch, anyway.
