created with Unetbootin.
I tested some more cases:
- Installing 6.0.3 netinstall i386 in a virtualbox, and it comes with Gnome
- I made another USB key with "cat debian.iso > /dev/sdX" (so no
Unetbootin) and installation com

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to do a net install of the last debian etch
version on my laptop (a toshiba M40-245).
On this laptop I know that harddisk is sata (ICH6M) and so
that's why i need a recent kernel.
So I started an installation in expert mode but My problem
is that I can't detect and m
if raid is used, the mdadm package must be installed prior installing
the kernel.

In potato I simply download the base_2.2.tgz file to create this

I guess unpacking base-*.tgz and then chrooting/using apt is the right way
to do it.
Do you think it's possible or must I use a source selection dialog (as in
bootfloppies)?
