I have been trying to make contact with the owner of the initially
tested machine, but he was no longer interested in trying Debian.
I am afraid I can't retry the installation with the new version of the
installer.
p.s.: Will an Ubuntu installation count?

I have seen these bugs were set to moreinfo.
i have made the test in question on a machine that is no longer
accesible to me.
I will try to do as much as possible to reproduce and see if the issues
not directly related to that machine are fixed.
