OK, I've opened a new bug against linux-ntfs: 265617
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=265617
Thanks everyone for the info as I learn "the Debian way" (
shrink the
NTFS partition down!
Then apparently cfdisk can delete and recreate the partition around the
smaller NTFS data, but I don't know the args.
Maybe this info will be useful to someone... :)

ss that sounds important.
Perhaps I should submit this as a wishlist bug against partman...

n deployments. I know of one friend who
would install Sarge right now if he knew that the Sarge installation CD
could resize an NTFS partition during installation (or knew of a utility
that could in a proven fashion).
Having said this, I have not attempted to resize an NTFS partition with
the latest version of qtparted (which is 0.4.4). Has anyone else?
Reliably? Unreliably? After applying Windows XP service pack 2? ;)

ld you like to select the software to install?
- Install simpler, more convenient groupings of software (using tasksel)
- Install software with fine grained control, choosing from other
installation methods (like dselect, apt-get, etc.) For advanced users!
--------
burning software ever, should have been
installed by default under whatever task the package "grip" is under.
This is a killer app, please include it by default!! Also, the K3B should
also depend on the cdrdao package, but doesn't.
