Some of the variants fail when run using sudo, instead of when logged in as

First, I'l like to say, I like Debian alot. The work the developers do is

Greetings,
I am going to try to help with installation reports and I have a question:
Should I attempt to get any more information than is needed to sort a bug
report into a certain package? It seems that this is a bug in bootcd.
Is this ready to be reassigned?
Thanks,

Many thanks for your installation report. I have assigned this bug to the

I have tried booting the standard and compact kernels.
No SCSI devices are detected so I cannot continue the install.

Thanks in advance, gang!

backup everything and b)write down any and all information about
your machine that you can (hardware, cpu, etc...). If yo do this,
you will have no problem getting through the install and the end-
result is well worth the wait.
