Booted image at http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/sid/main/installer-sparc/current/images/sparc64/netboot/
at 4/21/2004 (file says last modified 04/13/2004) It seemed to get a tiny bit further and then did this: Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 Unimplemented SPARC system call: 188 umount /initrd invalid argument Segmentation Fault Segmentation Fault Segmentation Fault Segmentation Fault ...presumably ad infinitum Between each seggy was approximately a 1 second delay. The screen seemed to flash a bit each time, and the top half of the screen was interlaced with horrizontal red lines. I have a photograph here [1]. Tried with http://people.debian.org/~jbailey/d-i/sparc/daily/sparc64/netboot/ with same result. -Todd [1] http://port.phys.psu.edu/crap/d-i_sparc64.png On Wed, Apr 21, 2004 at 01:31:25AM +0200, Thomas Poindessous wrote: > On Tue, Apr 20, 2004 at 10:57:02PM +0200, Herbert Kaminski wrote: > > On Tue, 20 Apr 2004 18:02:31 -0400, Todd Troxell wrote: > > > > >Debian-installer-version: 4/20/2004 BETA 3 from: > > >http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/testing/main/installer-sparc/current/images/sparc64/netboot/ > > > > Presumably you will get a little further using the image from > > > > http://people.debian.org/~jbailey/d-i/sparc/daily/sparc64/netboot/ > > > > At least my SparcClassic boots fine with the corresponding 32bit > > image, while it also fails if I use the one from http.us.debian.org. > > You can also test with more recent image from : > http://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/sid/main/installer-sparc/ > > This problem should be fixed in last version. > > -- > Thomas Poindessous > -- Todd Troxell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> PSU Physics NOC: 814.865.3024 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
