As mentioned in my reply to your CJK proposal on debian-boot@, my tests
look good so I've pushed your patch:

Dear Maintainer,
This is a bug so minor, that I am embarassed to report it. It has, however,
bugged me for some time now. After a fresh install of debian jessie, the
softlinks from /initrd.img and /vmlinuz points to different locations:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 ro
I'm also wondering: this will make all the corresponding translation
bits out of date, thus disabling the translation here and there in the
manual. I'm thus wondering who should work on updating them. It's
not nice for translators to see a flurry of fuzzy entries just because
of a CD -> CD-ROM up

Baffling. I thought the ~/standardize_on_CD-ROM_as_cover-term.patch

Hello,

Likely. In such case, the fix is trivial : remove the following in

Dear debian-boot people,
this is a ping about applying the trivial patch to fix this hillarious bug.
I'm hoping the fix will be uploaded to sid soon to make it possible to push it
into the 8.2 point update, thus cc:ing the stable release managers, to make
them aware of the issue too.
