While a good argument has been made that fixing this in nsis is not
feasable, this is still a bad sequence of events:
* Joe User inserts Debian CD.
* Windows tells him it has a virus.
* Joe User does not install Debian.
If this happened every time, we'd probably need to reconsider

We've chosen not to bother the user with a choice of desktop

Although, this needs proper documentation and warnings in the installer
manual and future release notes: like Christian noted, this can be bad
if os-prober fails to do its job.
This is a bit like the issue of whether to prompt for which drive to

To be a full debconf replacement, a dpkg-preconfigure for cdebconf would
be nice.
We could get away without one, but then we'd lose grouping the debconf
questions at the start of the install or upgrade, and I feel that's a
useful debconf feature

Well, there should be no more blocking bugs on this, thanks to Amaya.
Now we just need to figure out a procedure to migrate from debconf to
cdebconf.
The first problem I've run into is that cdebconf fails to run if any of
/var/lib/cdebconf/*.dat are missing. And installing the package doesn't

Hi,
I've been suggested that it would be a good idea to detect the screen resolution
in win32-loader and preseed that to the debconf templates in the xserver-xorg
package.
I think this is unnecessary and it's better to leave the decision entirely to
xserver-xorg scripts. Does someone think othe

Any comments?
