of the boot-flopp

I've already sent this to -alpha, but I realised I should send it here
as well. Please cc me on any replies, as I'm not subscribed to this

In the boot-floppies 3.0.17 distribution, the standard kernel does not
seem to have network card drivers. Just about every Jensen has a DE422
net

I had some time this mornining to go back and do the install from scratch.
My intention was to get a log after the "failure", as you requested.

I tested cvs b-f a couple of days ago, ia64 network and cd installs
(both on vga), and hppa network install on serial. All three installs
were fine, no problems. Built both ia64 and hppa on sid for those tests;
I also build ia64 on woody, which seemed ok too.
